2015 : First off a huge thankyou to all of our fantastic fans for supporting us in 2014 - you guys are the best! We'll be spending January writing and recording new songs before kicking off our live shows in 2015 playing the Albisgüetli International Country Festival in Zürich. Lots of fun stuff is coming up and it looks as though this is going to be another great year for "Road Music made in Switzerland".
Welcome to our english home on the internet. We are a band with a passion for music.
Feb : We have played over 700 show and never had to cancel a single one until now! Unfortunately one week before we were due to play a sold out show at the International Country Music Festival at Albisgüetli in Zürich Alex was hospitalised for 2 weeks after falling over on ice and breaking 3 ribs. Ouch! Consequently we were forced to withdraw from both the Festival show and the Turnhalle show in Ennetbürgen. Sorry to all of our fans who had bought tickets expecting to see dustyboots on these shows.
Mar 7th : Alex was once again show fit just in time for our annual show at the stadtkeller in Luzern. We always try to play a couple of special songs for this night and this year was no exception with our take on "steve earles "Copperfield Road, Bob Dylans "In My Time Of Dying" & Balckberry Cherrys "Ain't Got The Blues". Thanks to everyone for supporting us in this unique venue.
Mar 21st : Rocksnowopenair, Stoos. This is always weather dependant and the forecast was not good - overcast with a strong chance of rain/snow. However this was organiser Ueli's last openair after 16 years and he persuaded us to ignore the weather and do our thing. So it was ski hats on & turn it up! Enormous thanks go out to the fans who braved the conditions to support us and off course to Ueli and his fantastic team.
Apr 4th : This was a very special aprés ski show in the Chalet by the ground cable car station in Engelberg. Despite all day rain and then snow it turned out to be a great late afternoons music making. Of course we had to also par take in a little aprés ski refreshment!
Apr 11th : Another trip to Germany, and our first visit to the Four Corners Music Hall in Untermeitingen near Augsburg. This is a fantastic club with great facilities and an authentic western atmosphere. Hosts Bill and Marianne looked after us brilliantly and we are already booked back for a second show on September 12th. We can't wait!
Apr 30th : Our first open air show of the year was a special one. The Edelweiss Biker club hold a Benefits show for a Muscle Disability Charity each year and for the 16th event asked dustyboots to headline which we were honoured to do. The threat of rain meant that some open sided tents were erected over part of the site in downtown Thun but it didn't stop everyone having a great time.
Apr 18th : Restaurant Sonne in Krummenau has a vintage wooden hall attached to it which makes for a great concert venue. We last played here over 10 years ago and nothing has changed! The near capacity audience was in fine form and we hope it won't be another 10 years before we play here again.
May 1st : dustyboots have been playing the May Festival in Euthal every year since 2010. Once again the weather was not on our side and the rains fell however the people still came and the atmosphere luckily did not reflect the weather outside.
May 9th : We were greeted with fullhouse as we stepped on to the stage for our special benefit show at the Beavercreek Ranch to raise money for the charity Ear-for-Nepal which provides much needed medical facilities in Nepal. The atmosphere was fantastic and a lot of money was raised throughout the evening - thanks everyone for supporting a worthy cause.
June 6th : The Koboy Festival in Menzingen featured a cool western town in a well organised event. We were in the live music tent along with 600 "Koboys and gals". Despite having no official dance floor the ever enthusiastic line-dancers managed to do their thing in the aisles - yee ha!
June 27th : We were headlining once again on the Radio Central stage at Luzernerfest. Luckily the threat of a thunderstorm never materialised and the Kappeleplatz was packed with 1500 people enjoying Road Music made in Switzerland.
July 10th : Our last show before our 3 week summer break was a fantastic sold out country cruise on beautiful Lake Zug. Classic summer weather and a really great crowd and atmosphere.
Aug 8th : With our batteries re-charged following our annual summer break we headed to the beautiful mountain resort of Arosa in east Switzerland for a very special acoustic show. The DBFCA (dustyboots fancluh Arosa) were celebrating their 20 year anniversary and guess who was providing the entertainment? We all had a fantastic evening- huge thanks go out to president Alois and the amazing support from all the members.
Aug 22nd : We headlined the Village festival in the middle of Baar on a perfect summers night. The streets were packed with people and it was a truly memorable night. Thanks everyone!
Sep 10th : We played to over 1500 people at the Bull Market, Zug in a huge tent. Outside in the afternoon the bull were being auctions off for record prices - too high for Jim although he did find one he liked alot!
Sep 12th : Our second visit to the wonderful Four Corners Music Hall in Untermeitingen, Germany and another great night for "Road Music made in Switzerland". Already booked another show here next year. See you all again April 16th.
Sep 18th : The annual Country Night at the Chemihütte in Aeschried is always a very special engagement for the band with the marvelous autumn decorations, apéro with host Beat and of course the fantastic audience it never fails to be memorable.
Sep 19th : The Bartards Place in Muotathal is a very small bar and favourite of our sound engineer Bruno who organised this very special evening. They put a marquee outside to catering for all of the people who couldn't get in - it was completly jam packed full. We played a high energy set in very cramped conditions but it was one of our favourite shows of the year! Thanks Bruno and Bar owner Niki.
Oct 16th /17th: Our 5th visit to the famous Rattlesnake Saloon in Munich was another fun weekend in the beer drinking capitol of the world. A model train runs behind the stage and brings the band shots - thanks guys!
Oct 9th: The organisers of Waldhenst Night in Dallenwil. built a fantastic corner stage with a very 1960s Beatlesque vibe for us and we loved it.
